Clevises with Tensioning Rods
Custom Tension Rods with Clevises / Turnbuckles
Clevises with tensioning rods are a type of structural connection used in construction and engineering projects. A clevis is a U-shaped metal component with holes on each end that are used to attach cables, rods, or other components. Tensioning rods, also known as tie rods or stay rods, are long, threaded metal rods that are used to provide tension and support between structural elements.
It is common for one end of one rod to be manufactured with left-hand thread. This enables the installer to spin the rod one way to pull tension inward, or spin the rod the opposite direction to push tension outward.
Clevises with tensioning rods offer several advantages over other types of connections. They can be adjusted to provide precise tension, allowing for greater control over the stability and strength of the structure. They also allow for easy disassembly and reassembly, making maintenance and repairs simpler and more cost-effective.
